Vintage oval serving platter and four bread plates manufactured by the historic Homer Laughlin China Company. This dinnerware is made of china (specifically bone china or fine ceramic). "Windsor Rose" pattern, which was debuted in 1951. This pattern was launched alongside the "Coronation" pattern during the early 1950s to celebrate "royal fever" leading up to Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953.
The platter is made on the collectible "Liberty" blank, featuring classic raised ridges along a beautifully scalloped, wavy rim. The center is decorated with a large, crisp white rose motif flanked by deep green leaves, all framed by an intricate 22k gold filigree border and gold rim line.
