Before modern indoor plumbing became standard, these sets (traditionally called a ewer and basin) were essential bedroom staples used for morning face-washing and grooming.
Arnel's produced this specific ornate ewer and ruffle-rimmed bowl design heavily between 1975 and 1984. This set is a 1975 set because of the hand written “Arnel’s”. It wasn't until a few years later into the 1980s that the factory updated their master molds to include a permanently cast year directly into the clay.
Manufactured at the Arnel's factory facility in Beaverton, Oregon which later closed in the 1980’s.
