1950-1960’s French Neoclassical decorative floral topiary sculpture. This opulent cachepot features a permanent, hand-assembled bouquet of finely detailed gilt-bronze flowers balanced by deep, dark-patinated bronze leaves.
This piece is completely authenticated on its underside with its original mid-century French export and workshop labels intact:
The label "Cristal Bronze Paris" points directly to a specialized 20th-century French luxury atelier. These high-end Parisian workshops purchased elite glass/crystal blanks (frequently from Baccarat or Saint-Louis) and hand-mounted them with custom-cast fine art bronzes for international luxury retailers.
Stamped "MADE IN FRANCE" directly into the central brass fixture plate, accompanied by a matching vintage blue paper "MADE IN FRANCE" export label.
The square base plate showing surface abrasions reveals solid, heavy brass/bronze with genuine gold gilding, rather than a thin spray-painted substitute.
(When I found this item there was a little piece of paper stuck inside which I put in the pictures. I’ve done my own research on it but thought it was neat to find inside and wanted to share)
