Corning Glass Works began transitioning its U.S. clear ovenware production to tempered soda-lime glass decades ago. Because your dish features the lowercase pyrex logo introduced in 1975, it dates directly to the era when the U.S. consumer line had shifted to soda-lime.
Tempered soda-lime glass is highly resistant to breaking from mechanical impacts. It handles accidental bumps or drops against countertops better than borosilicate.
The bottom Pyrex logo all-lowercase pyrex logo with the registered trademark symbol (®) was introduced by Corning in 1975. Older mid-century pieces featured capitalized lettering.
